The Hotel Indigo is becoming a go-to property for me of late. This met the expectations with clean, comfortable rooms, good service, a small but useful bar, coffee shop and restaurant.
It is tucked away in a quiet spot - meaning it is not in the middle of the San Antonio Riverwalk action. It is a good 20 minute walk - or ~$6 Uber / Lyft - or - you can take the infrequent river taxis.
The Riverwalk is a must-visit. Had great meals at Acenar (excellent Tex-Mex overlooking the river) and Texad de Brazil (best Brazilian steakhouse but above the Riverwalk).
While the hotel was decent, I would prefer to stay at one of the Riverwalk properties or the Emily Morgan (which is a much closer walk).

Lovely hotel located at the North end of the Riverwalk. It's a fairly quick walk to reach the Pearl brewery redevelopment to the North, and a somewhat longer walk to get to the tourist end of the riverwalk.
The hotel was redone several years ago as a boutique hotel, and it works well. Very personable staff, always happy to go a little further to make your stay pleasant. The pool area was redone a couple of years ago, and although small, is well laid out. The bar in the lobby is a good meeting place, with a good selection of wines and drinks. The breakfast menu is extensive and good!
All the rooms were redone when the hotel was rebranded, but are now showing a few signs of wear ..... not a major issue. It's best to book a deal that includes breakfast and valet parking, as these are much cheaper as part of a package. The hotel is located close to two of our favorite restaurants in San Antonio, Ocho, and Gwendolyn. These are well worth a visit.
