Directly across from Heidelberg’s iconic Alte Brucke, Old Bridge is where you’ll find this popular boutique hotel, built in 1745. It’s in a great location, right in the center of Heidelberg’s historic old town, but also includes a splendid view of the Neckar River.

The lobby serves as a formal living room/sitting area, and the hotel’s 39 rooms have a variety of layouts, giving families plenty of options. Larger families can stay in either the Superior or Deluxe Family Apartment, which consists of two adjoining rooms. All rooms have modern bathrooms, with some of them having baths, and some only with showers. Furnishings reflect a subdued elegance, and there’s free Internet throughout the hotel. There’s no air conditioning, but the hotel does provide fans. The wonderful complimentary buffet breakfast includes smoked salmon, an assortment of breads and danishes, cheeses, sausages and prosciutto, eggs, fruits, yogurts, cereals, juice and coffee.
