Came to Moon Palace Grand on a day pass. Spent the majority of the day at the water park. Carlos Palma is the man! Friendly and knowledgeable. Since we have been to Mexico, everything has been good, however it's more of an order taker "what do you want" it's hard with the language barrier to get a good speciality cocktail. Carlos went out of his way to talk to us about what we liked and didn't like, made us or "coached the other bartender" on how to make for us, some excellent drinks!
He also told us that he's relatively new to Palace and has ambitions to move up. If he keeps doing what he's doing I see no reason why he shouldn't!

Great location. Close to Budokan and Kitanomaru Koen garden.
Kudanshita subway statino is 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
Somewhat worn down hotel with not "plastic box" feeling in the bathrooms( i.e not genuine), but overall a good place.
Hard beds (which I like).
