On arrival, very impressed with location, check in was efficient, very disappointed when we got to the rooms, very basic, no tea/coffee facility, no bottled water in rooms, ensure that you have enough provisions, as the hotel is a distance from the town/shops. The views from the room were amazing though. Meals in the restaurant were ok, breakfast was ok as well.

We stayed at El Refugio for a couple of nights while visiting Colca. The staff was lovely, friendly and so helpful. We had problem with the agency arranging our trip and the reception staff did everything to help us in getting in contact with the correct people and helped with translation as well. They also gave us free dinner! Thank you so much for all your help.
