Unfortunately it was a bit of a disaster from the start. We arrived from a night bus at 2am and were given a room that clearly hadn’t been cleaned (see photos). Lots of long black hairs in the bed, pillows and all over the floor. There was also clumps of long black hair in the shower and hairs on the towels. They did upgrade us to a superior room for free (still had hairs but a few less). The new room had weak WiFi so we had to sit next to the door for intermittent signal and also a cold shower (water never got hot). Breakfast is fine if you get there early, if not there isn’t much available (also long black hair on bread on first day). Staff incredibly slow, especially night concierge who wouldn’t listen before our Colca Canyon hike saying we were checking out the next day, we weren’t we had 2 more days which we explained several times as did our tour guide (very painful and awkward). They charged the credit card we used to book online without telling us when we would have preferred cash and didn’t show us a copy of the bill. Not the hotels fault but it is on a very noisy road and a group of about 50 people on Friday night were blaring music (with bass) from their car (normally James Blunt or Coldplay - bizarre) while drinking, smashing bottles and screaming until about 4am, the police don’t really do anything to stop this. Not what you need after a 2 day hike. Bed was comfortable enough and location okay in terms of distance to Plaza de Armas (10 mins walk). In short, there are much better and cleaner places to stay in Arequipa.

The hotel is about 10 min faraway ( on foot ) from the main square. The rooms are clean. Breakfast was sufficient. The staff especially Giancarlo was magnificent!!! He is very careful and trying to help you 100%!!! For any info and questions, please contact Giancarlo
