Casa Maya boasts a location on the beautiful beach, only five minutes away from golfing, shopping and area restaurants. Rooms and suites are all air-conditioned with views of the ocean or lagoon. Families may want to opt for the suites, which feature a kitchenette and balcony. Onsite restaurants serve authentic Mexican and International cuisine. If your family enjoys water, you’ll love Casa Maya. It has a Jacuzzi, swimming pool, and of course, the Caribbean Sea. The resort runs pool activities, such as water aerobics and volley ball. Children get their own play area, where they can have fun in a safe environment. Nearby, families may want to visit the islands of Isla Mujeres and Cozumel. Otherwise, Cancun has many tourist attractions, such as the historical remnants of the ancient Mayan culture and the jungle surrounding the many beaches.

BEWARE !!! PLEASE READ!! Me and my family stayed here at this so called resort from 9/28 to 10/02. We checked in to the so called “elite” members only floor and we were greeted by a rude concierge by the name of Julio who simply looked miserable while checking us in (not friendly at all)... but wait it gets worse.!!! On our second day upon returning to our room which was locked as expected but only to find the maintenance worker with our safe wide OPEN! Yes he opened our safe, and was in the room all by himself, where we had our jewelry, passports, and money. We proceeded to question him and his response was that the safe door was misaligned (which we never reported by the way) and had been reported to him by the lead housekeeper that we had reported that the door was misaligned and the battery was low. Upon checking our possessions we noticed that $200 had been tampered with and they were crumpled up and thrown back in the safe. We quickly reported it to management at the front desk... and their answer was “we will investigate it” this left us feeling insecure and not safe and it basically ruined the rest of our stay! The manager by the name of Patsy gave the impression that she was obviously untrained to handle the said situation, needless to say nothing was done to accommodate our SAFETY!!! If you plan to stay here please keep a close eye on your belongings specifically anything that is placed in the SAFE!!

We have had a time share at Casa Maya for 20 years. Just got back from a week there yesterday and truly enjoyed being there. As always the staff was most friendly and so helpful. Our small suite had an ocean view and balcony which, for us, is essential to having a nice vacation. Weather was great and beach was relatively clear of seaweed which is not the case everywhere in the region. We liked eating under the palapa. The buffet food was good, so convenenient, and had great waiters. Our only recommendation is that they add some color to walls in the lobby and maybe in the rooms. A great place for a low key more quiet vacation.
