We spent 4 days in Oaxaca, we stayed on the 2nd floor there was a bell that rang frequently which interrupted sleep ins but if who goes to Oaxaca to sleep? The rates are reasonable and the rooms are clean. There is no restaurant or room service but there were markets in both directions and the city center is only a few minutes away. The staff are nice and welcoming but they do lock the doors after a certain time at night, there is a night worker on who will open the door but do keep your mobile and the number in your phone just in case you can't get their attention to unlock the front door.

My friends & I stayed here for about 3 days and although bare bones, it was exactly what we needed! The hotel has a nice staff, great value, is centrally located and the owner is wonderful! A friend joined the group late and the owner was nice enough to upgrade us to a room with two double beds. We also left our jackets at the hotel and the owner Jose was so helpful and found a way to send us our jackets before we left for the States. Thanks Jose!
I highly recommend this hotel! My only complaint would be the noise outside but I am also a light sleeper :(
