In a city full of, and proud of, unique architecture why not stay a super cool place instead of a big-box hotel. I chose this hotel, due to reviews and uniqueness, for a weekend getaway and am so glad I did. The staff are great (Super Sam at front desk!), and the rooms have the boutique hotel personality.
The location is perfect - centrally located, near the train station, the park, shopping, the riverwalk, and even Navy Pier (longer walk).
The beds are comfortable, and most rooms appear to have a decent view (ours faced North towards the theatre and East towards Lake Michigan.
Also, we ate at Atwoods, which is a restaurant/bar in the lobby area and it was excellent as well.

Great hotel. Very comfortable. Ordered the wine and choc for the room. Brought the wrong offer and double billed me for it. Still no refund on one. More taken from account than what the receipt sent to me says.
