Consistent experience, Dog friendly!

This is our standard base of operations when visiting UF. Overall they are consitstent with celan rooms, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast. This time however we didn't have a good results. We arrived Friday around 1:30, and hit the lobby to see about checking in. Headed for the front desk and saw that the women was on the phone, so just made eye contact and hit the bathroom. Came back, she was still on the phone, looked at me but didn't say anything, so I hit the coffee station. As I was finishing making my coffee, the girlfriend came in from walking the pooch and gave the old "Not checked in" look. Sauntered over to the front desk again. This was finally enough to hav the women ask what I needed. When I responded that we were seeing about checking in, she responded that they were full and had no checkins available. She was curt enough about it that I was confused for a second that our reservation wasn't valid. No she explained, come back after 4. Ah ok, no problem. Her tone was not courteous, but I'm going t chalk it up to a bad day. When we returned after 5 there was a different women working the desk who was marvelous and got us checked in.

The rooms are very spacious, plenty of space to spread out. Pro-tip, turn on your ice maker as soon as you get in the room. It can take a bit to get going, but once it does its fine.

The staff over the weekend was very friendly. We didn't see our mystery grumpy greeter again.

A good choice

All the people we interacted with over three nights were wonderful. Professional. Helpful.

The location can’t be beat. Food, stores, highways, the University - all at your fingertips. Perfect.

Our room was very comfortable with the only negative note being that it was a bit worn. Needs refreshing.

That being said, I would not consider any other hotel in Gainesville.
