Overview

This is one of the most exclusive, expansive and incredible ranches in all of the Rocky Mountains. If it’s offered, The Home Ranch has it.
From summer activities like horseback riding, hiking, yoga, cycling and fly-fishing to winter activities including skiing, sledding, tubing, snowshoeing, skiing, sleigh rides and guided back country tours, you will never need to leave this incredible paradise, located 18 miles north of Steamboat Springs.
When it comes to lodging, there are many options. There are a multitude of cabins, and some that can accommodate larger families in five- and six-person cabins. There are also traditional lodge rooms. It’s all high-class with modern, yet rustic options, and each room has a view and access to outdoor space.
All meals are included in the all-inclusive rate at the ranch. From snacks to morning coffee, to an afternoon protein and fruit snack, to incredible, four-course meals followed by a sweet treat, you will never yearn for another calorie onsite!
Additional perks include the children’s program and children’s meals. A smaller guest count (maximum of 50 people) means a better experience for all. This is one ranch that truly has a vast amount of activity for families, with ease of planning.

My first visit to The Home Ranch for the October yoga & riding retreat for women was a profound and life-changing experience. Tammy Pate and Janice Baxter are kind, encouraging instructors. My confidence in the saddle improved, and I left the retreat with renewed enthusiasm for my yoga and meditation practice. Selina and Michael have assembled a warm and welcoming staff who care for guests on the trail and in the lodge. The horses are impeccably trained, the rooms are comfortable, and the meals are plentiful and delicious. I am so psyched to come back next year!

This was the most wonderful vacation I’ve had in years. I was there for a special program, so we had a slightly different schedule than the norm. Hence my Not Sure comments below. Aside from that difference, I cannot say enough overall about the incredible staff, the wonderful rooms, the spectacular setting and, not least, the totally every-meal-amazing food!
I highly recommend it and I would go back in a heartbeat!
