We stayed at the Holiday Inn here in Sterling since it was really close to the NRA tactical police competition for the November 2 competition date. We arrived on November 1st at 3 am, I called ahead of time to ensure we had a late check in.
We got to our room (we requested adjoining rooms but didn’t get them, they are next to each other but not adjoining) two of our group opened the door and some bugs of some sort when running across the floor and were immediately dispatched.
Our room the carpet was and is wet, which was nice to find as I walked across it with my socks. Apparently the a/c was leaking.
There was a fluff of hair in the shower when we got here looked like a miniature tumbleweed.
Beds were clean and comfortable, rooms are small, but do the trick if your not spending a lot of time there. Wish the water pressure was better in the shower (water saving shower head I’m sure).
We were here when a GenJ conference was going on in the hotel so there where teenagers all over the place. They were laying in the hallway, had luggage all over the place. We had to walk around them and there stuff at times so it was a bit of an inconvenience for the rest of the hotel’s guests.

A very basic hotel, rooms are small but livable.
Staff where ok, I have had better service from the Holiday Inn franchise in other regions.
Bed and shower where clean and this hotel is fine to do a one night stop over.
