Overview

There are 195 rooms on eight floors—the majority offering two queen beds—as well as a microwave and mini-refrigerator.

For Xcel Energy Center events and hockey games, the Holiday Inn offers the most convenient place to stay. It’s also within two blocks of the Science Museum of Minnesota of four blocks from the Minnesota Children’s Museum. Parking is an additional $15 per day.

For my husband’s annual professional seminar at the River Centre, the walking distance location can’t be beat. Parking is reasonable. The attached restaurant, the Liffey, is excellent. A couple nitpicks: The toilet in our room was so low to the ground, it was like a kid’s potty chair. And modern hotel rooms really need USB ports.

Nice overnight stay

We were in town for the Miranda Lambert concert at the Excel and stayed at the Holiday Inn. It was clean and check-in was smooth. Staff was very nice. My only complaint would be the noise level in the hallways, etc. I would stay again (and just bring ear plugs.) The parking was a great deal for downtown!
