Several family members and I stayed at this hotel for almost a week, beginning August 23rd. It was unplanned. A family member had a quickly-scheduled heart surgery at Baptist Hospital. We were stressed, to say the least. The first two hotels I tried in West Little Rock were filthy, with poor reception and service at the check-in desk. As soon as I walked into the lobby of Holiday Inn West I felt better. It's open, airy, clean, bright, and most of all, the people behind the desk were ALWAYS polite, courteous, and helpful. I say always because I originally reserved a couple of nights, then kept going back each day to add a night. Our room was clean, with plenty of space to eat, work, relax, etc. The beds were comfortable. Linen looked new. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped. The lady who came around each day to clean the room was always courteous and friendly. All together, this hotel was one of the best values I've received for my money all year. Again, the thing I stress most is the courteous, friendly, helpful customer service. It wasn't the hollow corporate-trained nonsense, either; they seemed like genuinely friendly, helpful people. If I need a hotel in that area again, I'll check with Holiday Inn West first.

This hotel is the absolutely worst I have ever stayed in. I was at the time moving from state to state and we checked in late at night. The room didn’t have working air conditioning. The manager fought with me back and forth about how I was in the wrong. I was over charged for my room five days after I had left the hotel room. I called the holiday inn corporate number and the situation became even worst. No one wanted to make this situation better. It was a game to them. I would never stay in any IHG hotel ever again. Very poor attitudes and customer service.
