For families looking to stay in the downtown area of Lincoln, the Holiday Inn is a great option. Its proximity to the University of Nebraska, in addition to the Historic Haymarket District, make it a convenient location for many Lincoln visitors. Families may want to consider booking one of the suite-style rooms, which come with separate living spaces, microwaves and mini-fridges. Cribs and connecting rooms are available. The hotel has a restaurant, Red Onion Bistro, where food is served from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and kids eat free. There’s also a complimentary cocktail hour for parents.

What’s unique about this hotel? Here’s a short list:
Red,white and blue plaid carpeting. Wood paneling. Corn patterns on the wallpaper and drapes. End table that looks like an old TV set. Room key that looks like Johnny Carson’s student ID.
Let’s just say that this Nebraska themed hotel does not look like any other hotel you have been in. Retro Cool. Great location.

My time at The Graduate was fabulous. The decorating, specifically the corn stalk curtains and wallpaper, was amazing. So retro and trendy all at the same time. One employee stood out in my stay. Kenna the valet was delightful, upbeat, bubbly and so helpful. Thanks for a great stay! Hope to make it back sometime!
