We got into our rooms around 11pm after an exhausting day hiking with our friends. We were looking forward to a relaxing night. The room was supposed to be a king bed but had two doubles. We were too tired to complain. My wife was already in bed asleep when i got out of the shower and was using the hair dryer. The power completely went off, probably just a blown circuit. The front desk clerk explained she was the only staff on duty and the only thing she could do was move us to a new room. so at 1AM i wake my wife up and we move to another incorrect room, not a king bed and also not on first floor as requested. Thankfully we had flashlights, the clerk offered ZERO help. When i went back to the clerk desk to tell her how we should be compensated for this horrible experience she pointed her finger at me and said "well this is all your fault!". she continued to blame us and said there was nothing she could do but we needed to talk to a manager in the morning. Of course come morning time there was no manager and the manger never called us. We called back and finally got a hold of a manger. She is giving us the go around and taking no responsibility. the manager continued to blame the booking website... We should be compensated for this horrible experience.. but they wont even do so much as offer us a free bottled water! Stay away! Also, the bathroom floors had hair and toenails all over them.

The location is great as the setting is beautiful and cozy, so we would stay here on the way to Florida. But the last time we went the sheets were crusty and gross!!. If it wasnt so late (12am) we would have called the front desk.. Instead we slept on TOP of the sheets. I hate it when you pay so much for the hotel that the sheets were not changed. Also, no cinnamon buns for breakfast! And both of us are Platinum and Holiday Inn Vacation Club owners.
