AC didn't work on arrival. No iron. Chain to open blackout curtain missing. The shower had to be turned on with extreme force- husband could barely do it. Floor tiles dirty. Staff very friendly and lazy. No gluten free options for breakfast.

At $114 on a Wednesday night, this was way overpriced for what it is. It's either an older, but refurbished property, or a poorly built new one. In either case, it was rough around the edges in spots.
My shower had no body wash and no conditioner. There was no blackout shade on my window so light easily came in. Moreover, the shade was motorized and the remote was unfathomable - I don't know how long I pushed buttons trying to let in more light in the morning. No instructions.
Finally, no trash can in the kitchen at breakfast. Need to throw away a napkin or a fork that fell on the floor? Walk all the way out, through the dining area, and to a trash can almost to the elevators.
When I told the clerk these things in the morning she didn't really care.
And, Mr/Mrs Manager, before you respond to this about how sorry you were. How sorry you were is properly measured by what you'll do for me when I bring the problems to your attention. You do nothing = you're not really sorry. The time to pretend you care isn't after I post a review, it's BEFORE I post one.
Your posting a response here, SavannaM, instead of doing something for me on the day, shows you're BS.
Avoiding this hotel next time I'm in Selma.
