Location: The hotel is located on US 280 just over the border from Columbus City, GA. This is one of those typical strip mall like roads found in every mid-sized town and city across America which means there are a number of gas stations, fast food restaurants and other motels around but the area is safe. The location is also a nice alternative to the hotels in Columbus many of which are aging badly.
Hotel: A new construction HIX in really good shape. The parking lot could be a little bit bigger but the lobby is very nice and very large. It has a two computer business center as well as an outdoor pool but there is no snack shop though the front desk told me they were expecting one soon.
Check In: A friendly agent helped me and thanked me for being Spire (Welcome Amenity points had already been posted before I arrived) and when I mentioned I was disappointed they didn't have a snack shop she got me a bottle of water
Room: Very nice with a large king sized bed, big TV, desk area, arm chair and a really nice bathroom. I really enjoy staying at these newer style HIXs when I can and I think the rooms are better than the average Courtyard or Hampton.
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, pork and turkey sausage, cheese omelets and egg white omelets were featured along with the pancake machine and cinnamon rolls plus cereal, fruit and yogurt.
I've had a couple of disappointing stays at other hotels in Columbus so I think I'll come back here instead.

I love this hotel because of the location I get to visit two states all in one day. Columbus, GA is literally across the bridge and it puts you in the downtown location of Columbus which offers breath-taking views and a variety of shops and restaurants. It's also minutes from Ft.Benning Base which is very convenient for families who has members there. The hotel is clean, the staff is very professional and helpful!
