Nice easy to find location off I69
It is just what you would expect from a holiday inn express. Decent rooms with comfortable beds, pool and exercise facility. Free breakfast that was okay.
To me the most important thing when traveling is having the rooms and common areas clean and well maintained. This HIX did a very good job of this
Additionally, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The check in hostess at night was outstanding
If you are condsidering booking a room and you are a light sleeper I suggest you ask for a room not facing the highway. Traffic noise can be a bit loud.
For the hotel - I suggest on the highway side rooms add heavy curtains that can be closed to help lessen the noise and put some landscaping along your parking lot on the I69 side to help block the noise
Would I stay here again - yes. But I would bring my noise cancelling headphones just in case. I'm a light sleeper
