My room was on the Phoenix Street side so it was a little noisy at night. More traffic than I expected in Fort Smith late in the evening. The front desk man was nice and very helpful at choosing a restaurant. Pillows and mattress were comfortable, but the interior needed some updates.

I’ve stayed in a lot of Holiday Inn Express hotels over the past year, and this one was not up to the standards I expect from this chain. While the room was clean, there was a very musty odor in the room. The shower drain was also broken. But my biggest complaint was a lack of plugs for charging watches and phones. There were no plugs at all on the nightstand or near it, and only one plug on the desk. The only plugs available to use were in the bathroom.
