I have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels and am always satisfied-not too expensive, basic, standard, good.
But this one in Cortland appears to skimp a bit. The water in the bathroom sink gets warm but not hot. The water in the shower gets hot but not enough. The shower stream is like that of a sink or tub - very old shower head and because of this it flodds the floor. You can tell this is a long standing problem because the caulking is off on the wall where the water flows out. Even the trash cans seem a little smaller as are the shampoo and conditioner. There is no long bureau to place all of your stuff, there was no luggage rack and there is a card table size table in the corner with a chair, three bath towels not four, etc. For a couple traveling it felt skimpy. But to be positive the staff greeted us warmly were polite the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Not a bad place but could use some enhancements.

Day before decided to go to the annual Pumpkin Fest in Cortland, NY. Needed a place to stay so this was a last minute find. It was very nice, received a friendly welcome and was convenient to the festival. Shout out to Sharon who worked the breakfast area and was super friendly. She made everyone feel right at home!
