I am a frequent patron of HIE across the country. I stayed at this location 3 years ago for an entire week after a family loss. It was such a hood experience that I stayed again when i had to return weeks later to deal with the estate and then a year later for a reunion. There are lots of other IHG properties as well as competitors in the Omaha Metro, but we chose this property again last weekend. At checking the front desk person Cheyenne, I believe her name was working. She asked me if I wanted amenity points and I said, 'Yes, I'm chasing after that Spire Elite status". She looked at the computer and said, "You're only Platinum."
I thought, "Yes... I know. That's why I said, 'Chasing' the Spire Elite".
I let it go without comment because I just wanted to get into my room after an 8 hour drive.
The next day my wife's key card wasn't working. She went down to the front desk and Cheyenne was there again. My wife told me when she told Cheyenne her key wasn't working her reply was, "Well, you have two keys don't you?" She told her yes, but she wanted to be able to use hers too. After running the card a few times she gave it back to my wife. My wife came back to the room and the card still didn't work. I took the key card and went back down. I told Cheyenne that there must something wrong with the card. She ran the same card again and I asked for an entirely different card. She shook it at me and said, "It's not the card" slapped it down and gave me two more cards, snapping, "if you have that other key card upstairs it's not going to work"
So.
I understand Cheyenne is a young lady, but that is no excuse for her acting like a petulant child. There is no excuse for that kind of unprofessional attitude.
I will continue to use IHG, but never again will I set foot at this particular property.

We spent 2 nights here in July, on the return trip home from our summer vacation. The reason we spent 2 nights was to give us a full day at the Omaha Zoo (Henry Doorly Zoo), which is about 25 minutes away. (Amazing zoo - highly recommend spending a day there if you're in the area.)
We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but it was clean, the breakfast was great, and the hotel was quiet. The only complaint was that during our visit, the air conditioner for the pool room was broken, so the pool area felt like 95 degrees with 100% humidity. Other than that, the hotel was great!
