Hotel was under construction for months and still is. Was not told this when we made reservations over the phone.
Did not have working elevators and had to climb 17 flights of stairs when we first checked in. Was told we would be compinsated for it.
We were charged full amount.
I was locked in the bathroom of my room due to faulty installment of the door. Two people outside the door and myself inside had to force it open for me to get out. I was told I would be getting points for a free stay in a different hotel of the chain.
I was not given the points.
For the stay it was rare to have hot water. The best I got when it wasn't just cold was barely warm.
If you want to work the heater put it above about 5 degrees how you actually want it. It's the only way to get close to your desired room temperature.
There is no way to get ahold of the front desk other than your own cellphone or by walking down to it yourself.
Only thing giving this a one star was the friendly staff and hot breakfast. And because it's a one star minimum.
If it weren't for these two things I would of likened this place equal to a random shady motel off the highway.
At least avoid it until construction was done.

I am a travel agent and stayed at this Holiday Inn to attend a travel conference. I research hotels before going and was aware of the construction. Although, having no hot water the entire time was more than frustrating. The room was bare. It contained a table for a desk with nothing on it. There was no closet or even a bar to hang clothes. I felt bad for the front desk employees. I have emailed IHG directly and have had no reply. I am an IHG loyal customer but was so disappointed. I included in my email that I was happy it was me and not one of my clients.
