This always reliable hotel offers spacious suites with two comfy queen beds and a large sitting area that contains a twin sleeper sofa and enough space for a rollaway or crib. You also get a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and wet bar. Holiday Inn Express always does a great job with its free hot breakfast buffet, which includes their popular cinnamon rolls. Kids will enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub, while parents can get a good workout in the adjacent fitness room. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, a snack shop, and laundry service.
The Holiday Inn Express is located in the middle of town, about 10 miles from the Corpus Christi airport, and about 12 miles from Padre Island. The hotel counts several fast food and casual eateries as neighbors, so you can walk to dinner from your room. Most of the wonderful attractions of Corpus Christi are within 10-15 minutes of your hotel. Kids will love the North Beach area, where you’ll find a water park, ocean aquarium, and a historic WWII aircraft carrier. After everyone is tired out from the sightseeing, there are several scenic beaches on the bay where kids can play in the calm water while parents relax. Kayak and paddle board rentals are plentiful along the waterfront. If you’re heading out to Padre Island, it’s a straight shot down the highway from your hotel. There, you’ll find miles of pristine beaches, as well as fun shops and restaurants, not to mention opportunities for fishing and hiking. With its convenient central location and comfortable family suites, the Holiday Inn Express is a great choice for your family vacation in Corpus Christi.

We spent a night at this hotel recently. Having read the previous reviews we were a bit skeptical. We used to stay at the Holiday Inn on the beach but due to damage caused by hurricane Harvey, the hotel is temporarily closed.
This hotel however is right behind the other Holiday Inn and just across the street from the beach and boardwalk (see attached pictures). The hotel is on N Padre Island. Checkin and checkout was easy and the front desk staff is extremely helpful and friendly, specially Ellen and Carol.
Our king room was on the 3rd floor facing the front with an ocean view. Room was clean with a sofa, desk, safe, microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker. The bathroom had a shower and the basic amenities. The morning breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express menu with eggs, breads, pancakes, juices and coffee. There are several restaurants along the main highway. The hotel also has a pool and small hot tub.
You are able to cross the small street to the boardwalk and beautiful beach.

We used this hotel to stage for our wedding. The staff was very professional and courteous, breakfast was hot and filling and the rooms were comfortable and quiet even with construction going on at one end of the hotel.
