My last review in 2015 I said we would not return but we have a few times and the hotel had improved. it is a convenient place to stay. Our last visit was disappointing because we were near an exit door which slammed shut and was very noisy. Lots of partiers as well, wedding group staying there so the breakfast was extra crowded. Wonder if our senior rate gets us the less desirable location? Stayed in two more ihg hotels this trip and ran into similar problems??

Stayed for a couple of nights while in Barrie. Regarding the title of this review, the location isn't great as the hotel is in an industrial area with strip malls and car dealerships around it; very unappealing. However, it is a great location as well as there are a ton of restaurants within a short walk.
The hotel itself is fine, but nothing special. Room was decent in size and fairly clean although the bathroom was tiny. Everything worked ok although the air conditioner was a bit loud. Lastly, breakfast was typical for a free self serve.
All in all, decent accomodations.
