From our arrival the people were very courteous. Rooms were simple but very well kept. The beach by the hotel was not pretty due to sargassum season, however the hotel is not at fault. The food was delicious the servers were beyond helpful. Bartenders both inside and outside were polite and respectful. The animators are such joyful people. If you’re looking for something fancy and want to feel like a tourist would recommend closer to the hotel zone. However, this is a place has locals working who can give you the tips & secrets of Cancun. Only complain is the TV & blowdryer are outdated. The restaurant as well could use better ventilation not only for the guests but for the workers who are dripping in sweat yet always with a smile on their faces! 100% will and have returned here

I really hate giving a bad review but this place earned it. I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Reforma in Mexico City and it was first rate. I assumed this would be similar. The hotel doesn't look anything like the pictures. The lobby is dreary. The tile floors are slippery and cracked. We got off the elevator on the floor to our room and the smell of sewer gas was overwhelming. Our room reeked of sewage and the walls and curtains were speckled with mold. The bathroom had an overpowering smell of sewer gas. The room was simply dangerous. We went right back to the front desk and Danielle moved us to another section of the hotel. The area of the hotel and the room was much better, clean, simple, but near the highway with lots of traffic noise, no fridge, no microwave. The hotel wifi is intermittent during the day and almost non-existent in the evening. There's no shop to buy snacks, drinks, and such. There's a make-shift Starbucks that makes the crappiest cup of machine coffee I ever had. It's not the girl's fault who's manning the kiosk. They have a decent looking pool but it's small and shallow and crowded with kids. I wouldn't call the little strip of rocky sand behind the hotel an actual beach and I'd be wary of getting into the murky water given the smell of sewage in the area. It has a buffet style cafe that's okay. My advice is to stay away.
