Hoedel’s is in a quiet forested neighborhood less than 2 miles from the center of town. It’s a short trip down the hill to find the fine restaurants and art galleries that Homer is known for. There are several large grocery stores along the way for when you want to cook in your cabin. Kids will get a kick out of the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, where they can earn their Junior Biologist badge by exploring the exhibits and nature trails. It’s a short walk down to Bishop’s Beach and its tidepools. Another fun point of interest is the Pratt Museum, which highlights the natural history of the Homer area.
