This Hilton is located on the East Side of the city, only one block away from the United Nations. Many local restaurants and shops surround the hotel and its central location makes it a great choice for family vacations in New York. The hotel was originally the famous Tudor Hotel and it is well-known as a landmark building. Three hundred guest rooms and suites feature flat-screen televisions, wireless Internet, large closets and marble bathrooms. Select units offer private terraces that look out over the beautiful cityscape. Tudor Neighborhood Bar & Grill sits at the hotel lobby. A breakfast, lunch and dinner menu is filled with American-inspired dishes. A truly family-friendly hotel, the Hilton offers babysitting services, cribs and high chairs.

The hotel itself doesn’t anyhow stand out in Manhattan. It’s in really good location (obviously depending what are you after in NYC). As there’s isn’t too much to complain about, except of no wi-fi included (unless it has changed since May) in the price of the room and the fact the the room we stayed in, especially the bathroom was very, very fatigued; there’s also not so much to praise the place for. Perhaps giving three star review would be a little bit too harsh I’ll give bit far fetched 4/5.

We had booked 3 nights here, one queen bed room and one twin, but we found on arrival we'd been given 2 queen bed rooms, we explained we needed a twin and the receptionist just shrugged her shoulders, tapped away on the keyboard and said, "no problem, one twin, one queen". Sorted!! Yes the rooms were dated, small and one looked out onto a back wall, but it's NYC, but the rooms were clean, beds comfortable and staff friendly and polite.
We didn't use the restaurant, we had breakfast up the street at John's Diner, which is excellent.
The doormen were always helpful, including lending us umbrellas on a really wet day and in hailing taxis.
The Westgate is well located and functional, if you want big and modern go to Orlando.
Would we stay here again? Yep, happily.
