Overview
by Lissa Poirot
Located steps across the street from Universal Studios Hollywood and City Walk and just miles from Hollywood, this 482-room Hilton is a great choice for families visiting Hollywood and L.A.’s theme parks. The high-ride hotel provides 18-degree views of Los Angeles, Hollywood Hills, Pasadena and “the Valley,” but also a peaceful, tucked away setting for families. The oasis-style pool area with cabanas and lounge chairs and another outdoor patio area provide peaceful places to relax, and inside, families can enjoy buffet or a la carte dining, grab some snacks and ice cream, or sit back in the comfort of oversized rooms and await room service. That is, of course, when not walking over to Universal to enjoy the attractions, shopping and dining.

We stayed here for 2 nights recently. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Universal Studios. They also provide a free shuttle service to the park. Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the beautiful pool area. The pool area was lovely and had a fire pit going if you wanted to sit by the fire and there were tables, chairs and plenty of towels. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and the meal was really good as was the buffet breakfast. There was so much food to choose from both hot & cold. We really enjoyed staying here.

Rooms were very clean, comfortable and room service was outstanding. Location was convenient to the attractions we wanted to visit. Only complaint was the price for hotel guest to park our cars daily and having to valet your car during check-in and check-out.
