Located in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of Abilene’s main retail district, the Hilton Garden Inn is all about affordable luxury. The rooms are ideal for a large family, with two queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa, and space for a crib or rollaway. Add in a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and you have most everything you need for a comfortable stay. Kids will love the large indoor pool, but the entire family will enjoy hanging out around the fire pit on the covered patio. The hotel also features a 24-hour convenience store in the lobby, saving you a trip to the grocery store for last-minute necessities. Other amenities of the hotel include a fitness center, laundry room, and an onsite restaurant. Breakfast is included as part of the hotel’s “Bed and Breakfast” package. Otherwise, there are several restaurants in the same parking lot as the hotel.
The Hilton Garden Inn is in between Abilene’s busy retail district and a quiet residential neighborhood, making it a little more peaceful than most other hotels in the area. You can walk to fast food and casual restaurants, or simply sit down in the hotel’s onsite restaurant for a good meal of American-style food. Their children’s menu is extensive and affordable. Downtown Abilene is a 10-minute drive to the north of your hotel. There, you can begin to explore this unique city through its museums, boutiques, historic buildings, and local eateries. Kids will be thrilled by museums like Frontier Texas, the Grace Museum, and the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature. A few miles east of downtown is the exciting Abilene Zoo, which boasts exotic animals like giraffes and alligators. Fancy a nice hike, head south of town to Abilene State Park or Buffalo Gap Historic Village, both less than 15 minutes from your hotel. With its affordable and spacious rooms, the Hilton Garden Inn is a good choice for your family vacation to Abilene.

Had a very horrible experience in the restaurant area and management... they literally allowed me to take delivery of a pizza, spent 30/45 mins eating and then was told I had to leave the area by a cook because of a health code issue... no buffet in progress, no one at the table with me.. oh and I ordered wings from their restaurant, and a couple of drinks.. was working in the area since 3:15pm and this took place at 6:43pm cst... several people from the bar just looked at me while being loudly spoken at to leave the area and go to the other side of the building.. later I went to the desk and ask, “hey did I miss a sign that says NO outside food allowed”, she then loudly said “no it’s up to us to enforce and it’s a health code violation and that’s why we asked you to leave”...I said “thanks” and then called the Diamond Desk and reported the whole thing and then a manager decided to come over and have a conversation and was polite, but only because of the call she received from the Diamond desk.. it’s totally demoralizing because I’ve stayed here before and had an ok experience... it’s terrible because I have spent around 80 nights at Hilton just this year alone... and have 17 more nights to go... terrible... anyway I promised to give a poor rating because of the experience, so this is it... the hotel is clean, usually friendly, and convenient to other places... just a terrible job handling a “not so important” issues... smh... so disappointed!
