This is a first rate hotel. Everything was really well done, good service, attentive people. Beds and room were comfortable. Also ate several meals at a conference that were also very good, way above average conference food. The building is an Art Deco treasure. Could not stop staring at the art and architecture everywhere. Famous former guests include Bing Crosby, several presidents, and Winston Churchill. Down side is that it's pricey.

This hotel is not up to the quality of a traditional Hilton property. It is a shame to see a property on the National Registry of Historic Places in such dispair. While the lobby and common areas appear to have been maintained. The rooms need a serious upgrade. Our room had cracks all over the ceiling as well as paint chips hanging. The shower was never hot, even when you turned it all the way up. I would not waste your money staying here. They made you pay for alcohol in the executive lounge, which is unheard of for most Hilton properties. I would not waste your money staying here.
