Without strolling more than two blocks, your family will be able to explore Anchorage’s popular attractions like the Alaska Museum of History and Art, the Ulu Factory and the Fifth Avenue Mall. Onsite Hooper Bay Cafe serves authentic Alaskan and American cuisine. There’s a vast Alaskan art collection in the lobby and self-guided walking tours leaving from the lobby. Rooms range from king beds, a pair of doubles or junior suites providing a bit more space to stretch out, each with a view of either the Chugach Mountain Range, Cook Inlet or downtown Anchorage. After a long day of sightseeing, children will love to splash around in the indoor pool before dreaming of bears, whales and the Alaskan wilderness.

Hilton Anchorage is in the middle of downtown, and there are plenty of restaurants and activities available within a short walk.
My room was below average for a Hilton property. It definitely showed its age, and while clean, it had a slightly unpleasant odor, and hallway traffic was a little noisier than expected.
All hotel staff were exceptional and made sure that my stay was a pleasant experience.
I would return to this hotel in the future as long as the price is competitive.

Every so often we pack the kids (4and 6) and stay in Anchorage for a family fun night, tried this Hilton this time for a change and it was a mistake! "Club Level" room - 2 full size beds which were very uncomfortable, pretty sure the room hasn't had a makeover in at least 30 yrs. My husband is 6'1", not a great set up for us! Guessing it was the air system, but all of us were so stuffed up after being there a couple hours, couldn't wait to get out of there the next morning just to breathe. Was thankful my kids aren't babies anymore, wouldn't want a baby breathing that. Ordered room service for dinner and breakfast, both meals terrible- especially for the high price. Even kids wouldn't eat the pizza they ordered. Breakfast (what wasn't missing) was soggy and not at all appealing. Pool area was nice, kids were able to play and be loud, we spend a lot of time in there. Great area, within walking distance of the train depot and lots of good restaurants- choose those instead of hotel food! We typically stay at Captain Cook, wanted to try a different place and it was a mistake, the Captain Cook is far superior in every way including price- pay attention to all the Hilton fees, the cost of our room was almost doubled with fees (we did have a pet with us as well).
