Located in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, the Hershey Motel features affordable, family-friendly accommodations and amenities, just one block from the beautiful beach. The motel — the largest lodging in the area — is also a short walk from plenty of kid-approved restaurants.
Families can choose between a Double Room with two double beds for four people; Larger Double Rooms with added space (also for four people); a 2 Bedroom Suite that accommodates six; and a two-bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette that has a full-size fridge. Single Rooms for two people are also available — perhaps a good choice for grandma and grandpa or other extended family. Mini-fridges and microwaves are standard in all rooms, as is complimentary Wi-Fi.
The Hershey Motel also provides an outdoor swimming pool and kiddie pool, complimentary breakfast, an onsite restaurant and pool bar, game room, water sports rentals and free parking. What’s not to love?

The motel is only a couple of blocks away from the beach and you can sign for beach passes at reception (as long as they are all gone!) and this will save you nearly 8 dollars a day for each adult.
The pool is large enough to enjoy your swim and is surrounded by a large number of sunbeds and at the play room end there are tables and chairs with umbrellas.
Breakfast is at the side of reception and has excellent coffee. We had bagels, yoghurt, Danish and lots of fruit - just as you’d expect for a continental breakfast.
Car parking is free as long as you put the parking ticket issued by reception on the dash and there are lots of spaces around the motel.
Our room had two double beds and a balcony as we are in the block away from the pool and its surrounding blocks
Everyone at reception were friendly and helpful and could not have been more welcoming when we arrived.
The room was perhaps not is clean (sand on the floor etc) as it could’ve been.
The rooms were no smoking but this meant that out on our balcony we were surrounded (above, to the left, to the right and below) with smokers not great.
We were kept awake on our last night by group above us on their balcony. They were partying and letting off fireworks until after 2 AM. A clear policy on noise curfews might be a good idea for the future.

The people who run the motel are very friendly and accommodating. They are delightful. However, the beds were not good. Extremely old. They need new box springs and mattresses. Need new shower curtains as well.
