The perfect spot for an authentic dude ranch family vacation, the Heart Six Guest Ranch is situated in the Teton National Forest, just two miles from Grand Teton National Park and 30 miles from Yellowstone National Park. Although the 27 guest cabins are authentically rustic, guests will enjoy the spacious and comfortable accommodations and particularly the awe-inspiring views. A variety of cabin configurations are offered including kids’ rooms with two twin beds or bunk beds, and deluxe rooms with a wood stove (one with a jetted tub).
When you arrive at the ranch, even the youngest riders (ages 6 and up) will be perfectly matched with a horse to ride for the duration of your vacation. Adults and kids partake in separate riding programs, and kids are grouped according to their age and ability. Kids not only learn how to ride a horse, but they also learn about safety around horses. The littlest ones will enjoy riding in a pulled cart.
In addition to horseback riding, kids will love playing traditional and western themed games, going on scavenger hunts, floating down a river, and enjoying cookouts by the fire. Visitors can also enjoy a guided tour of Yellowstone National Park and a trip into town for the rodeo. Dining at the ranch is no ordinary experience, and families will enjoy the gourmet menus including fresh seasonal and regional ingredients; Chef Jason Campbell enjoys mixing French traditions with western fare to create a unique menu. Guests remark on both the friendly and knowledgeable staff and the wonderful food.
Eat pancakes at sunrise, watch Old Faithful erupt, spot bald eagles and bears, and be taken aback by the beautiful scenery and wildlife — at Heart Six you’re sure to have a one-of-a-kind vacation.

Book a 4 hour ride for myself and wife. Due to trail conditions we had to cut the ride short to a 2 hour ride. No big deal. We were told that we would be refunded for half the charge. We did not book thru trip advisor but directly through their website. Never got the refund even after emailing them. Tried disputing charge and still nothing. Our trail guide was great but the management obviously is lacking. I would suggest looking elsewhere to go horse back riding. Would not recommend.

We reserved Heart Six directly (not on Trip Advisor) for our family of 9. It seemed like the most affordable place for us to stay as we traveled from VA to MT to visit my husband's mother who we had not seen in 5 years due to living overseas on military orders. The very day we were to arrive at Heart Six on our drive to Big Sky from Las Vegas (we flew there to save a lot of money), we got a call from my husband's sister telling him that his mother had passed away. This was devastating news. We needed to bypass Heart Six and head straight to Big Sky. I immediately called to cancel our reservation and explained why. After months of attempting by phone and email to contact the owner of the ranch, Frank Chapman, I finally reached him by cell. I explained the situation (and had previously sent him a copy of her death certificate as proof) to him and he had zero compassion. He became very rude when I asked that the $350 be refunded due to our circumstances. He said they have a NO REFUND policy under ANY circumstance. He became very mean and actually hung up on me! He does NOT CARE about people. I have read other horror stories of the place also but wanted to WARN all travelers to please stay elsewhere. Do NOT reserve this place. An absolutely terrible and sad experience for my family. (I had to input a date that we stayed but the fact is we never did stay here. We did not even get to go see it. The bottom line though is that the place has NO customer service and the owner is cold hearted and basically stole our money. He would not even consider a partial refund because he hung up on me before I could ask for that.)
