If you forget anything, there is a small convenience store across the road from the cabins. The drive to Hatcher Pass is one of the most scenic drives in the area. There are also numerous hiking trails along the road. Ten miles from your cabin, don’t miss Independence Mine State Historical Park, site of a large abandoned gold mine. Back in Palmer, kids will love feeding reindeer at the Reindeer Farm, and petting musk oxen at the Musk Ox Farm.
