Harbor House Hotel & Marina is located close to the Galveston cruise ship terminal on Pier 21. The newly renovated waterfront property has rooms, one-bedroom suites with harbor views, complimentary continental breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Some suites have a refrigerator and microwave. They are equipped with a king or two queen beds — some with a sleeper sofa – plus dining area and refrigerators. There are onsite boat slips for a fee, as well.
The location couldn’t be better as you’re just steps from the Strand Historic Area with restaurants, shops and local attractions. The hotel also is not far from the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens amusement park and Galveston Island State Park. There are also plenty of harbor tours available steps away. While this property doesn’t have a pool, you can use the Hotel Galvez pool and spa (a sister resort). Your stay gets you discounts to Pier 21 restaurants. If you are going on a cruise, you can leave your car at the hotel lot for $10 a day.

Great place, really nice large rooms, close to downtown, leave your car for your cruise. Oh day of your cruise just stroll to the boat. A lot of eating establishments all in walking distance.. Five minutes to almost any main part of Galveston.

My family of 4 stayed a night here before our Carnival cruise. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious. Since my husband and I were traveling with my son and his fiance', we weren't a big fan of the glazed glass window from the bathroom to the bedroom area. It would be nice if there was a shade you could pull down when traveling with anyone other than your S.O. You could see shadows of the person in the restroom. But - it was just for a night, and having a CLEAN room in Galveston is a big plus! We were able to see our ship coming into the port that morning from our window. That was really great. The breakfast is Continental - so nothing fancy - juice, pastries, coffee, etc. But, we were going to be on the ship and eating again soon - so that was fine. The hotel is very near some great restaurants. We ate the night we arrived at Fisherman's Wharf which is just a short walk away from the hotel. It had very good seafood. We also walked the strand and shopped in some of the stores across the street. We would definitely stay here again. OH! And, I booked the room back in March at a higher price than was shown on their website now, and they refunded the difference! Great customer service!
