I recently stayed 1 night at the Hampton Inn Myrtle Beach West. the hotel is about 15 minute drive from the airport and located on a major roadway near a bunch of shops and restaurants.
There was plenty of free parking even at a very late night arrival. My first service issue happened at check-in. The front desk clerk was not very friendly nor very helpful when I was confused about the whole mobile-app check-in and electronic key thing. When he finally figured it out, it worked fine for getting in the room.
The rooms are very large, but felt weirdly empty. But everything was clean and worked well. The bathroom was large and clean as well, but the shower pressure could have been a little stronger.
In the morning, there was the typical Hampton Inn free breakfast, which wasn't very good. The eggs didn't look good, and there wasn't much in terms of fresh fruit other than bananas and apples. And Hampton coffee is pretty terrible.
Given the price paid, I would stay the value is okay for the hotel given that it was clean and new. But I would say it was just an average stay at best.

The team running this hotel possesses superior customer service skills. When I arrived, I saw a person cleaning the outside parking lot and putting new trash can liners in the big trash can next to the entrance. The facility was spotless. When I checked in, the same man checked me in. He had a warm smile and hearty laugh. He asked me if I needed anything to make my stay perfect. Just a lovely person. His name is Bubba. The stress of traveling and business meetings just melted away. Everything was perfect!
