Stayed here for our 1st time in NYC. The hotel is up to date & modern. There are only 65 rooms. Ice & vending machine is located on the cellar floor (C) and you can access that from stairs in the lobby.
The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially loved Cesar in the breakfast area! He was so attentive, kind, friendly and made waffles for us. He was right on top of everything and it was nice to see him the 2 mornings we were there. He said he works there every day!
Breakfast options differ day to day. There is always coffee, tea, OJ, Apple, Cranberry juice, bagels, toast, english muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins, danish, homemade oatmeal w/toppings (Brown sugar, gold/brown raisins, sprinkles, walnuts), waffle station to make waffles...available on Sunday was Vanilla or Chocolate, on Monday was Vanilla or Blueberry. French toast sticks, sausage links, cheesy eggs on Monday, on sunday was the scrambled eggs/sausage patty.
One thing was at 2 am the room next to us came in partying and the walls are very thin. We heard everything. Then they were up at 7am singing & banging about. I wasn't happy we got unlucky with the neighbor.
Price in the parking lot a street next to hotel is $35 per night. They do valet for $55. There are NO IN AND OUT PRIVILEGES. We found parking on the street. If you are looking at the hotel, the street to the right of it , there's Pike Slip School, you can park there on Sat/Sun for free. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel called Pearl St. and Peck Slip. We didn't use this transportation. We used our own car to drive where we needed. The subway is a couple of blocks away. If you see a "No Standing" sign, this means no parking!
We were in Room 308 which has a boxed in view of buildings, one being a school. My sister stayed in 405 which was a bit bigger than my room (longer hallway, bigger tv) and had a view of 1 WTC.

The service overall was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfy. The hotel rental was a gift for my girlfriend because she really wanted a hotel room for her birthday. When i mentioned that i rented the room as a birthday gift to the staff they upgraded our room for free. It was an amazing experience.
