This is my first review ever, and it's not a good one. I've stayed at many wonderful places and have always meant to write a reveiw. But, this one made me bc this stay really bothered me. I booked this through Hotels.com, for Thrus. 11/7 through Sunday 11/10. Because we could not get on the road until late on Thurs due to work, we did not arrive to the hotel until 2am. I didn't expect it, but I kindly asked bc some hotels I've stayed at gives you a break when you check in after midnight.. the not-so friendly front desk clerk advised that that would not happen since I booked through, Hotels. I booked this place bc of most of the reviews were ok. Some talked about the issues on cleanliness and unfriendly staff. But most were ok, and rated high on low noise, comfortable beds, and good breakfast.. so when getting to the room after checking in, at first glance the room seems nice. The beds were very comfortable, sheets were obviously clean by the look and smell. But the hardwood floors were filthy dirty! Its hard to tell bc of the dark grey color and grain of the flooring. But, I know this bc my son woke up the next morning with a nose bleed. Causing me to wipe the floor of some blood drops. When doing so, not only did I wipe up the mess, but the tissues were black from the dirty floor. I went downstairs to advise the front clerk of the nose bleed and the floors being dirty, and further asked to be sure that housekeeping knew about it & to clean to floors really well bc of this. I also left a $5 tip for thay day with a note thanking the housekeeper and asked for some extra towels. Well, unfortunately that would be my only tip I left.. upon returning that evening, I see the there were no extra towels left for us.. so I went downstairs to get them myself. Also when wiping up the excess water after my son's shower that evening.. (the shower curtain didn't want to fully close on each end, causing the spray onto the floor). The towel came up black from wiping the excess water, once again.. hence they obviously didn't clean the floors, nor did they clean the bathroom. I know this, bc there were still tiny makeup drops of foundation on the counter, and the toilet was definitely not cleaned, the entire time we stayed. We kept the room clean and tidy the entire time, so we didnt appear as messy pigs. So in conclusion, unless you enjoy having filthy floors, and knowing they don't clean well after every guest doesn't bother you.. then be sure to bring flops and slippers to wear while in the room. (This is the very reason why I don't walk barefoot in hotel rooms.) The beds are comfy, and I never once heard a peep from other rooms.. I occasionally heard the elevator in the morning, but never heard a peep during the night or early moring. The breakfast was very nice with great selections of everything. They had a different type of egg and meat to serve each day, on top of the do it yourself Belgian waffle makers, they had pastries bagels cereals hot oatmeal, a nice coffee bar, seveal different fresh juices and 3 types of smoothies. The nice lady tending to the breakfast bar was very kind and worked really hard each day to make it a nice experience for everyone. I made sure to tip her every day, to let her know how much she was appreciated. Other than the dirty floors, the stay was ok. I hope this helps.

This trip was for business but also designed for a time of restoration and relaxation. Hampton Inn was clean and quiet with an exceptional variety breakfast and a staff showing professional excellence 24/7.
