Smells bad, worst breakfast every at a Hampton

by RichardHead

Old and run down Hampton Inn. Definitely in need of a remodel.

The breakfast was bad and I am quite serious....bad! I am Hilton Diamond, almost Lifetime Diamond, and have stayed in 35+ Hampton Inns in the last two years. So, when I state that the breakfast is bad and the worst ever in a Hampton Inn, believe me.

The room had a strange smell, which is noted on other reviews here. Sorta like a hospital. What are they covering up? Mold?

Location is decent. Nothing special.

Would not stay here again.

Nice hotel except for wi-fi

Nice Hampton Inn (from perspective of one who has been Diamond level four years). Clean, quiet. Price higher than I expected, but in line with other hotels in Asheville area. Rooms a bit smaller than most, but fine. Biggest problem was internet — super slow to connect, kept kicking us out. Went to business office to print boarding passes, could not access there either. When I mentioned this to front desk clerk, he merely checked his cell phone, said “seems fine”, and was done with me
