Because of my wife’s allergies we had requested a room with no down or feather bedding and pillows. This was duly noted on our confirmation letter: NO DOWN FEATHERS. When my wife awoke with a late night asthma attack we discovered that the comforter on the bed was filled with feathers. I went down to the desk to see if we could have other bedding, and showed the clerk our confirmation letter. He said that the hotel had only feather bedding. He produced a paper which stated, “no down or feathers if possible.” Since the hotel had only feather bedding, he explained, it was not possible and the hotel had no responsibility. If you’re not troubled by this kind of duplicity I suppose you could give these folks a try.

They've removed dressers from all rooms so nowhere to store our 3 suitcases of things for 6-day trip. Instead they put in 2 useless ottomans.

If this is the trend for all Hampton Inns, then we'll be using another hotel chain from here out.
