Located in downtown Chincoteague Island, families can easily walk to local shops and restaurants from this hotel, and the beach at Chincoteague Island National Wildlife Refuge is only about 2 miles away. The NASA Flight Facility Visitor Center is also close to the Hampton Inn Chincoteague Island.

King Whirlpool Suite
This suite features a king bed and a whirlpool tub in the room. There is also a sitting area with a sofa and a balcony.

Indoor Pool
The medium-size indoor pool features a spa hot tub and plenty of lounge chairs surrounding the pool deck area. The heated pool is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and no lifeguards are on duty. Pool towels are provided and a restroom can be found just off the pool area.

Boardwalk/Pier and Bay
A boardwalk pier area runs the length of the hotel property and overlooks Chincoteague Bay. Kids will love to go fishing off the pier, but swimming off the pier in the bay is not permitted.

Breakfast
A full hot, complimentary breakfast is available to guests every day from 6 to 10 a.m. Families will find things like eggs, yogurt, waffles, cereal and fruit at the breakfast station. Chincoteague Island is a beach town, so the high season runs from about May through Labor Day. Several fall and spring festivals bring visitors to town as well.

Getting There
Driving to Chincoteague Island is a family's best option, or you could come in by boat. The Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport, located in Maryland, is about an hour from the Hampton Inn and Suites Chincoteague-Waterfront and offers limited flights. Norfolk International Airport is about two hours away.

Getting Around
There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance to the Hampton Inn and Suites. Biking is also big in Chincoteague. While you can bike to the beach at Chincoteague Island National Wildlife Refuge, it is a few miles away from the hotel so families may prefer to drive. If you plan to venture off the island, a car is needed.
