The Halliburton is situated in a red-brick building in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, offering families easy access to all there is to see and do. In fact, it’s just a 5-minute walk from the waterfront. The boutique hotel features lovely guestrooms with comfy duvet covers and Keurig coffeemakers. There’s also an onsite restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We came all the way from Ohio to Halifax for our honeymoon. For the most part, we enjoyed the hotel. It was in a good location, so we were able to walk to a lot of places. It’s right down the street from the waterfront, which is awesome. The staff was also very accommodating. There are a few things to consider, however. The first being that there are no elevators and lots of stairs. It was fine for us, but just keep that in mind if you can’t do stairs. There was also no way to control temperature from your room besides a fan or space heater. I noticed that my nose bled a little bit over the course of our stay from the dry heat. So that’s something to keep in mind. Free parking is also limited. We were there in November so we were never unable to get a parking spot outback, but the spots were really tight because other buildings are so close. Despite those little complaints, we really enjoyed our stay. Like I said, it’s just something to keep in mind. The hotel was very cute. The rooms and bathrooms were a little small, but we were on our honeymoon and 24 hours away from home, so we didn’t mind. We spent more time outdoors exploring. Would definitely recommend The Halliburton if you’re like us and not fussy travelers. But if you’re looking for something more roomy or no stairs, I’d look elsewhere. Our room was always clean and the bed made after we came back everyday. I also like the security at the hotel. You receive two keys when you check in. One is for your room and the other is for all the outside doors because they stay locked most of the time. I really like that considering all the foot traffic in Halifax.

This is a real find. The rooms are clean and well designed. The staff is very helpful and the free breakfast is great to start the day. I would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel is a series of old buildings but redone rooms are beautiful. Some of the rooms are up or downstairs.
