Overview
by Courtney Elko
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this all-inclusive Cabo resort is expansive and offers plenty for families to enjoy. Kids will love being greeted with a golf cart ride to the room and parents will love the availability of a kitchenette or fully equipped kitchen in their suite.
There are a variety of suites and villas to choose from at this all-suites resort, and they vary from a studio to a four-bedroom unit.
There are several pools for guests to enjoy, including a kiddie pool that is situated right next to a large grassy area with a playground, trampoline and splash pad.
You won’t find the typical (and often repetitive) all-inclusive buffets at this all-inclusive resort. The food here is outstanding, fresh, local and always changing. Hacienda Encantada has a sister resort, Marina Fiesta, located about 15 minutes away in the downtown marina. All-inclusive guests who are staying at either resort are welcome to dine at the restaurants at either resort. The all-inclusive package is also optional at this Mexican resort, so if your family prefers to get out and explore, a la cart/pay as you go options are available.
With theme nights, daily activities, free Wi-Fi, fire pits and horseback riding, families will love a stay at Hacienda Encantada in Cabo, Mexico.

My comments will be divided in 3, the bad part and the good part.
The very bad part:
Came for a quick 3 nights sisters get way. The room that they gave us was occupied. They changed rooms but it took two nights to them to add the amenities pack in the refrigerators. Worst part was dealing with Kith the sales guy. We became interested to participate of the club deal to bring the family and went to check how it works. In the first 5 minutes he was very pleasant but out of nowhere he became very aggressive and start to intimidate my sister. I asked him to not use this kind of maneuver to sell. He kept doing it and shut us down from the tour visit. This ruined our day. The others Salles guys were very pleasant. Talking to the concierge about it all they could to was apologize.
The good part:
the staff is very nice and polite. 5 stars to Oswel (in Trajineras) served me a good Mezcal and a delicious mole. Ivan and Johana ( in the taco place) that served us good tacos (ask for lobster tacos it is worth it) and found us a mole in Trajinera. And of course to the chefes.
General observations:
The place is beautiful, the view is impressive. Rooms need to be updated and properly maintained (mainly the electrical part). The shuttle to the Cabo San Lucas leaves each 2 hours. You are not allowed to ask for Uber inside the hotel nor at the airport (witch is very ridiculous mainly if you come from big cities where you are used to this type of services). They said free wi-fi, but this option is not good, you can’t watch Netflix with this option, you need to pay to have a decent internet or have yours. If you get the all inclusive, there will be an extra charge a few things like lobster and prime cut meat.
Family Activities
Pools
There are a variety of pools to choose from at Hacienda Encantada. The Activities Pool always has something going on with fun family-friendly games and music always playing. There is an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar that overlooks the ocean, and a kiddie pool situated next to the playground.
There is also an exclusive pool for guests who are staying in the Encanto Suites building. At this private pool, there are hammocks and pool beds to enjoy. Kids, who are staying in the Encanto Suites, are welcome at this pool, but it does tend to be quieter here.
There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas surrounding all of the pools and complimentary pool towels are provided with your pool card. The pools also have restrooms situated nearby, and a restaurant or bar located onsite as well.
Playground and Kiddie Pool
The kids' playground area, with swings, a slide and trampoline, is situated next to the kiddie pool. Kids will love this area. There is a large splash pad that is hard to resist, with water buckets always dropping water. There is a large grassy area for running and playing corn hole, along with a giant chess board and foosball table. The kiddie pool is zero-entry and plenty of chairs surround the area as well.
Beach
The resort overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the famous Cabo Arch is visible in the distance. Guests have access the beach to get a better view, but it is a non-swimmable beach. There are large rocks and stones situated along most of the coastline in Cabo and the waters are quite deep, making most of the beaches non-swimmable.
Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is available onsite once a week, on the hour from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Families will love to take a ride through the desert and see the Cabo San Lucas Bay.
Activities and Kids Programs
During high season, families will find plenty of activities happening at the activities pool. The activities director is always getting the kids involved and playing games and crafts with the kids at the pool or surrounding areas. While there isn't a dedicated kids' room, daily, kid-friendly activities are always taking place.
Sunset boat cruises, hiking adventures, city or diving tours can also be arranged by the concierge.
Sports Courts
Tennis, basketball and pickle ball courts can be found on the property and are included in your stay. The courts are also available at night, but there is an additional charge at night for the use of the court lights.
Family Dining
There are a variety of restaurant options to be found throughout the resort, and all are included in the all-inclusive package. The only buffet is during breakfast. Reservations for dinner are required.
All-Inclusive Package
Guests have the option of including an all-inclusive package. This includes unlimited alcoholic beverages and meals at the onsite restaurants, as well as the marina restaurants at the sister property, Marina Fiesta. Soda, beer and bottled water are also stocked daily in the suites with the all-inclusive package.

But there are also golf cart taxis readily available to take you anywhere around the resort. Guests call for a golf cart no matter the location, and you'll be whisked to wherever you need to go. The golf carts may be the resort highlight for some kids. There are elevators and ramps throughout the resort as well.
