Soooooo.......Friends, who are timeshare owners took us on vacation to Mexico. We spent the first week in an al inclusive and the second week here at Hacienda del Mar Los Cabos. We are all in our retirement years with grown children and I for one wanted to avoid the “enthusiastic” little people.
As luck would have it we had a beautiful 2 bedroom in building 15....right next to the kids pool!!! I was less than thrilled at the prospect but then we had happy hour (11-2) at the pool snack bar and started several days of pure relaxation and enjoyment.
The pool area is a kids dream with shallow pools, swing bridge, water slide and what makes it so relaxing is the sound of waterfalls drowning out all other “enthusiastic” noise. Children were being seen but not heard! It was an attraction all it’s very own, but the snack bar!!!!! Opened 7am-5pm excellent coffee and fresh doughnuts in the AM served by a most lovely man, Tomas. He also serves up fresh made to order smoothies, (but that’s not my jam). He told us to come back for happy hour.
Lunch was a recommended catch of the day and beef sliders served with delicious fries. Food was AMAZING! Flavourful, beautifully cooked and well presented. When I asked for hot sauce Thomas brought a little dish of fresh habanero sauce that sealed the deal.
Tomas and his partner Daniel (who I think makes the best Margarita, sorry Tomas) look after the patrons of the snack bar and kids pool like family, evident as guests arriving and departing, greet the gentlemen by name and often a hand shack or hug.
We spent several days waking for coffee/doughnuts(get there before 8), returning for margaritas (2 for1 from 11-2) and catch of the day (with the occasional corn dog thrown in) watching the wildlife that is children in water wings, a siesta in our room and off to enjoy the other adult activities and beautiful beach the resort has to offer....rinse repeat.
A great place for peace and quite and children and family and margaritas.

This place is so spectacular every year is better than the last. This place never , disappoints. Mr Pech, Emilio the concierge is always right on when it comes to restaurants,Diego , Balleria are great aquasize and Zumba teachers. The beach is like no other in Cabo. Even the vendors are so kind welcoming us back every year and this year they thanked us for coming to Mexico. You will love this resort.
