We went for a week of rest and relaxation and were so happy we chose Hacienda Buenaventura. It is advertised as "Mexican Charm" and was true to that. It is a smaller hotel and while it lacks some things the larger resorts can offer, it more than made up for it with its warm and personable atmosphere. The staff was excellent....so friendly and helpful. So many that we connected with but a couple that stood out were Victor in the ala carte restaurant, Ivan in the pool side bar, Jose the food/restaurant manager, Francesco and Juan Carlos in the buffet area....all so personable, kind and hard working. The pool area is very nice...large pool, bar, snack bar. While not having the ala carte choices that many larger restorts offer, the food and service in their one was very good! The buffet had a good variety of choices. Nightly entertainment was poolside. Just a 10 minute walk to the beach or a 2 minute shuttle ride which leaves every 20 minutes. Rooms were clean and the couple small requests we made were immediately responded to. Cab ride to the Melacon and downtown PV was 80 Pesos (about 5 CDN $). If you want a quieter locale without a large number of people, at a reasonable cost and with a staff that genuinely cares about their guests, I would highly recommend the Hacienda Buenaventura.

The staff is attentive to customers needs. They are all friendly and professional. The cleaning staff does a great job at cleaning the rooms. The front desk is very helpful with any and all questions you have. The bartenders are quick with your drinks and remember what you like. This is my second time her and I can’t wait to go back
