This beautiful hotel in north central Austin lets you relax and unwind in a natural, green oasis outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Wander around the Courtyard Lounge full of herb gardens and lime, orange, and fig trees, take a swim in the outdoor saltwater pool surrounded by verdant greenery, and enjoy healthy and delicious meals made from clean, organic, local ingredients. The hotel is green in more ways than one, thanks to their solar power, hypoallergenic accommodations, and emphasis on sustainability and permaculture. Not only is it comfortable and excellent for families, but it’s also a locally-owned business that you can feel good about giving your money to. One downside is that the lights are not very bright in the rooms — not a deal breaker, but something to be aware of.
Spread out in the two-bedroom suite, which provides plenty of space to breathe and all the comforts of home. Two private bedrooms include one king and one queen bed, and there’s a full-size sofa sleeper in the living room in case kids need extra room. There are two full bathrooms, as well as a completely equipped kitchen with a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, stovetop, oven, toaster, and all the dishes you need to prepare and eat meals. Fireplace units are available on request and all suites are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi.
Each day, you’ll get started with a wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast, with rotating healthy and delicious options — from the Habitat Village Plate with veggies, potatoes, eggs, and refried beans, to the Wheat Toast Breakfast layered with cheese, egg, spinach, and tomato. Complimentary beverages are available all day long.

We booked a room for four days in Habitat Suites and it was a complete disappointment from the moment we stepped into the room. The room smelled musty and had old, beat up kitchen appliances. There was mold on the floors in the bathroom. The bathroom tile was cracked and the bathtub was filthy with black stains. We asked the front desk for a bath mat to cover it up. The ceiling had water stains. My wife and I coughed all night because the HVAC ventilation was nasty. The air ducts probably have not been cleaned in years. Shower were risky because the temperature alternated between super hot and really cold. Be warned!

this place is very serene, yet close to all kinds of restaurants and downtown. Love it! especially nice are the two bedroom suites---each room has its own bathroom and TV. I appreciate the full kitchen as well.
