Our Minnesotan friends invited us Aussies to canoe the BWCAW. We stayed at Gunflint Lodge before going in and after coming out. They also provided everything for us to do our 6 days of canoeing - canoes, food, cooking and camping equipment.
Friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the adventure we were about to undertake, the staff and owner of Gunflint Lodge and Outfitters were fantastic. The lodge facilities were clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant warm, friendly and cosy with a great selection of food and drinks. Would recommend them to anyone.

I did the Canopy Tour, ziplining through the trees near the resort last week of September. The weather was perfect and the fall colors were gorgeous! My two guides were a lot of fun, relaxed, full of corny jokes, and friendly. They were also very professional, making sure I knew what to do and keeping me confident. I really appreciated the "test run" station. Even though I've zip lined before, it was good to review and become familiar with the local equipment. We did eight different lines going between tree platforms and separate platforms. I never felt rushed and was able to enjoy each one thoroughly. The views were tremendous! I cannot recommend the experience highly enough. It was thoroughly enjoyable! Go for it!!
