A wonderful location with lots of special character. Lonely Planet 2017 describes this as having a timeless athmosphere and a timeless hospitality and soon you realise how true this description is. Villas and restaurant - with a hint of faded glory - naturally fit in a beautiful old garden amid jungle forest on a ravine's slope, just a short waliking distance away from the famous hot springs. The hotel also has its own (warm) hot spring pool, which you are likely to have for yourself. The owners are very helpful and the lady has a unique open and honest way of talking about all subjects Balinese or foreign, which stimulates a thoughtful conversation. Good traditional massage is available. Though aged, it's clean and comfortable and spacious and we at once felt at home here. Highly recommended when you are open for an old atmospheric (and perhaps essential Balinese) location.

The husband and wife that ran the hotel were super friendly and genuinely really helpful. The bungalows could do with a serious freshen up and a clean. Our outside bathroom was quite dirty and needed freshening up. The area around the hotel is nice to walk around. I thought we had access to the hot springs but they are separate from the hotel so you have to pay to get into them. The food we had here was really nice. You can rent a bike from here. The husband drove us to our next destination (which was expensive but a lot cheaper than any local price as they just wanted to rip you off because you was near a tourist attraction). Would rate higher if the rooms were cleaner.
