Overview

A Five-Diamond Award-winning property, the Grand Luxxe Nuevo Vallarta is part of the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort overlooking Banderas Bay. Here, families will find two-, three- and four-bedroom “residences” where the entire family can spread out and relax. Each one includes a full kitchen, a dipping pool, a TV area and a balcony with panoramic views of the beach and ocean. If you can tear yourself away from your accommodations, the resort offers plenty of family-friendly activities, golf, a spa and several onsite dining choices. The kids especially will love the children’s swimming pools, movie night for the entire family and competing against the parents in events like the horseshoe tournament.

My wife and I visited this resort for our 1 year anniversary! This resort is amazing! The pools, restaurants, and suite exceeded my expectations. The staff is very kind and helpful! I am excited to return to Vidanta in the near future!

We have been coming here yearly for at least a decade and still love it. The resort continues to improve. Although very large, the grounds are nicely laid out so things feel easy to reach and the resort feels relatively calm, and uncrowded. Vidanta has completed their network of raised wooden paths to walk from area to area through their beautifully landscaped grounds away from transportation carts. We usually make our own breakfasts in the unit but go out for dinner. The dining options available in their multiple restaurants makes it hard to choose where to eat; but every meal we had from Asian to Italian to steak was great and service we superb. We especially like the Peking Duck at Gong and also always make a point of eating in the beach watching sunset at Havana Moon. Unfortunately Costa Arena on the beach at the tip of the property was closed for remodeling but If open it’s a must.
EVERY employee from gardener to waiter to cleaning staff was always ready to stop and help with questions or directions. In addition to their cordial welcoming smiles the special attention from your floor’s concierge is another exceptional distinguishing feature. We were fortunate to be checked in by the same concierge (Gricelda) who served on our floor exactly a year ago. She recognized us by name and even remembered our occupations and hobbies. I doubt this level of service can be found in many places anywhere in the world. Even though she wasn’t our floor’s concierge she helped us in numerous ways including coordinating computer support for a problem I encountered with my laptop. You will be most fortunate if she is posted on your floor. Alex, who served on our floor was busy with training much of the time but still found time to volunteer to do a load of laundry for us.
Finally a shout out to the members of the “Joy Squad”. These are employees whose only job is to circle the various pools doing things like offering free ice pops or cleaning your glasses. They were always upbeat and cheerful.
Not all is perfect at Grand Luxxe but the problems don’t mount to enough of an issue to change our 5 star review. They are running late in completing the water park, equestrian center, and Cirque d’soleil theater; and still need to improve the often poor frequency of shuttle service between buildings.
We were not interested in the “update” they offer owners each visit for personal/family reasons, because they inevitably take more than a half day, and the updates always include an offer that will cost money. Despite explaining that we had a death in the family and were really not up to the experience we still got daily calls exhorting us to schedule one.
The photos show why we love going.
