Overview

The Grand Hyatt in Bali recognizes the special luxuries that families deserve on vacation. They offer a 50 percent discount on a second room for kids 12 and under, so you can spread out a little. Also, they give the options of getting a family breakfast and checking out late. Most of the rooms have private balconies or gardens. You can live decadently, choosing to stay in a villa with your private walled-in gardens.
The resort itself hosts Camp Nusa, a children’s program that plans fish feeding, sports and games throughout the day. While the kids are at camp, parents can try unique Balinese healing therapies at the exotic spa. With its five outdoor pools and its beachfront location, families who enjoy water sports will be more than satisfied. Located a short distance away from the cities of Sanur, Kuta and Denpasar, there are plenty of nearby attractions to feign off boredom. The area offers many cultural experiences and museums. Families may enjoy a stroll through the beautiful Bali Butterfly Farm in Tabanan.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit to Grand Hyatt Bali. I was a bit concerned after some negative reviews but it was fantastic! We booked through Luxury Escapes - and WELL worth the upgrade that included the 2x 1-hour massages!
Cons -
Slow service at pool for drinks and meals sometimes
Pools close at 7 which is disappointing - after a big day it would be nice to have a little swim
Occasional language barriers -
Pricey restaurants but to be expected in the IDTC - research places just outside they are lovely
Breakfast buffet did not change - at all - can get a little repetitive - although has all you need
The toiletries were a bit - cheap seeming. The conditioner just didn't do the job. Having said that - my son liked the scent so much he brought home a set.
Pros -
Grounds- phenomenal - nary a blossom on your path or in the water- people were constantly tending to the grounds and you could tell - like a floral paradise
Staff- seemed "genuinely friendly" not "staff friendly"
Dinner with a show - was amazing kids LOVED IT
POOLS - and pools and waterslides!!!
Buffet breakfast every day was ample
The Kriya spa was so good - it instills such a sense of calm with the waterfalls - even the staff speak in calm tones! As the resort is so large it is a bit of a walk to get to it.
Beautiful beach outfront with no hawkers and a big swing (for your swing photos if you need them instead of paying big bucks elsewhere)
ATM and moneychanger on site - not the best rate but convenient
THE GYM which has a pool of its own and a cooling plunge pool and sauna- if you are Aussie -your flight will leave at night - they let you stay and use the facilities and shower at the gym - in the gym they have all toiletries you will need including - my favourite - a sealable plastic bag for your wet swimmers - they have thought of everything, Perfect.
Proximity to Bali Collection very handy if you can't be bothered to go elsewhere.
Overall, we had a great, relaxing time and we would return.

Nice but not nice enough. Better service needed when we had difficulty with where we had been checked in we had to go out of our way to resolve opposed to the hotel staff and laberynth propety makes getting around a challenge.
